Size: Plant 1-5 mm diameter.

Irregularly placed cells of the central portion 5-10(-20) µ diameter; cells filamentously oriented towards the margin, 3-4(-15) µ broad by 15-30 µ long, the peripheral ones often forked.

Epiphytic on other algae.
